Our story.

Bedspoke didn’t start in a boardroom. It started with a single two-bedroom apartment in Fortitude Valley. That first listing was our laboratory — the place where we perfected a formula for high-yield property management paired with an uncompromising commitment to guest experience.

While our industry often chases volume, we chose a different path — sustainable growth. We purposely avoided ‘growth at all costs’ to ensure our systems never outpaced our service. By perfecting the million moving parts of the guest experience, hiring our own in-house cleaning crew and keeping our service areas compact, we maintained the ability to properly service every listing and keep satisfaction high even as we expanded.

Today, that single apartment has evolved into a national operation. Bedspoke grew organically and now powers hospitality across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Melbourne.

2018
April. Bedspoke is incorporated and launched. Our first apartment goes live in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane
June. We launch our second listing in Ivy & Eve, South Brisbane. This building becomes the cornerstone of our portfolio.
December. We launch our third listing at Manning Street, South Brisbane
2019
January. We restrict growth to South Brisbane and Fortitude Valley to ensure operational density.
July. We open our South Brisbane Headquarters and expand the administrative team
February. 10 Listings. Total asset value hits $5M. We open our first linen and storage depot in West End
August. Expansion into the Melbourne market.
June. 30 Listings. Total asset value exceeds $15M
November. Established 24/7 Guest Support Team, reducing response times to under 5 minute
2020
February. Bedspoke surpasses $1,000,000 in cumulative payouts to owners.
April. Our business pivots to focus on housing essential workers and those stranded in the country.
March. COVID-19 hits. Market contraction forces portfolio consolidation from 44 to 22 listings
June. Our business has recovered. 50 listings under management ($30M+ asset value).
November. We successfully vet and host our 10,000th guest.
December. We move into a much larger facility in West End.
2021
February. Bedspoke launches on the Gold Coast, expanding to Australia's premier holiday market.
August. Team expansion: We launch 24/7 guest support and inhouse accounting.
June. Catalina Gonzalez promoted to Operations Manager. Her deep operational knowledge becomes the backbone of our quality control.
September. Luis Forero promoted to Maintenance Manager, ensuring maintenance is handled by staff who know the properties intimately.
December. 100 Active Listings. We end the year managing over $75M in property assets.
2022
January. We distribute $100,000 to owners in a single week for the first time.
September. We cross the threshold of 50,000 cumulative guests hosted, with a 99% damage-free record.
April. Operations scale to handle over 30 checkouts per day. Coordinating this volume within a 4-hour window proves our systems are enterprise-grade.
November. 200 Listings. Business doubles year-over-year. Client portfolio valuation exceeds $100M.
August. We move into our South Bank facility — our new HQ and logistics hub.
2023
January. Dedicated linen depot and office established in Melbourne as portfolio hits 50 listings in Victoria.
November. We complete the furnishing and styling of our 100th property.
2024
January. We move into our Port Melbourne facility, establishing a permanent base for Victorian operations.
April. Bedspoke launches at the Sunshine Coast
February. Bedspoke surpasses 300 active listings and $25,000,000 in cumulative owner payouts since inception.
December. With 400 active listings, our teams now coordinate over 100 checkouts every single day across three cities.
2025
January. Cesar Brenot appointed as General Manager to oversee strategy and standards as we scale beyond 400 properties
December. Bedspoke processes 80,000 guests in a single year, ending 2025 as one of Australia's largest independent short-term rental managers
July. New logistics warehouse opens to service the Sunshine Coast.
